Haoran Zhang / 张皓然
Lucien Lévy-Bruhl, a well-known French sociologist had mentioned in his book “How Natives Think” about the relation of the visible and invisible worlds that are reciprocating on each other, and at any given time, the visible world is reliant on the invisible power. Haoran seems to be able to explain this relation through his artworks.
“Draw out what is seen in my head” is Haoran’s current pursuit and understanding on art. He is able to break the barrier between imaginative art and realistic life using the most rustic art language. To him paint brush is like an antenna that is helping him to express his inner world.
Dachu Studio: What is art to you?
Answer: “Art is drawing and painting. Beautiful pictures. Fish that can fly, a place can be changed by my mind.”
Dachu Studio: “Do you experience any difference after you learned painting?”
Answer:“ Yes! My hands are more flexible and more “listening” to me now. I am better now to draw what I think and there are more things coming out from my head.”
"I am very happy that I can draw out the other world in my head, feel like I can be friend with myself."
Dachu Studio: Is that you who are playing piano?
Answer: "It's my younger brother. He also want to learn piano. I can teach him because I played well, I also want to teach him.

"LEGO is my favourite toy, playing LEGO makes me happy. They all have superpower, they can fly; they can assemble by themselves; they can fight each other; they can also arrest bad guys as policemen."
